Cherry Tree has seen many changes over the years and it has undergone another face lift. We always wanted to be able to offer our cottage to families as well as couples. So, we decided to make Cherry Tree and Honeysuckle in to one big cottage, offering two spacious bedrooms, one with a large double bed in Honeysuckle and large twin singles in Cherry Tree, both still offering individual bathrooms & independent stairs. A brand new, fully fitted kitchen & breakfast room, leading through to a lovely spacious, bright sitting room.
As you open the front door onto a tiled floor, in to the kitchen area which has the benefit of a new fridge freezer, a microwave oven and ceramic hob and double oven underneath, a new dishwasher, plus a washing machine, extremely handy for your weeks stay, especially with children.
In the breakfast/dining area, which now offers a large farmhouse table and chairs to seat 4 -6 people. there is also a pine sideboard as extra storage for food etc. A small colour digital TV sits in the nook which also plays DVD’s and CD’s. (so you can bring all your favourites with you).
A staircase leads to the bedroom which features large twin-beds, lovely bright & crisp cotton sheets and duvets. Chest of drawers and a double wardrobe with shelf above. The en-suite has a bath and new electric shower over. Loo and a hand basin over a vanity unit. A heated towel rail and a wall mounted electric fan heater if required. We also have a full size cot & travel cot available for your use.
Back downstairs , leading through a glass panelled door, into the sitting room. This is a lovely bright room and offers a calm space to relax. A smart TV which also plays CD’s & DVD’s. One large seater sofa, which could seat 4 & one armchair, a swivel loving seat, which easily seats two adults. Stairs lead up the bedroom and bathroom above.
Here you will find another en- suite offering you all the facilities as Cherry tree. A large pine double bed with lovely fresh linen and duvet. A double wardrobe offering lots of hanging space and shelf above. A pine dressing table with mirror and pine chest of drawers.
Rewarded with lovely views from the bedroom windows, over the garden , looking towards Nyland, or over the fields one can see Cheddar reservoir, which is a great walk from the cottage. Out of the other bedroom window, one looks up to the Mendips. There is a large cupboard under the stairs for coats & shoes, an ironing board and iron are provided. We also provide a vacuum cleaner and other cleaning materials to keep your cottage fresh whilst you are staying with us.
An intelligent tumble dryer & a spin drier are available in the walking room, plus access to a rotary line in the lower garden. Here you will find a lovely summer house for guests. A perfect place for a bbq and a nice glass of wine at the end of the day, or indeed any time of the day! The garden is very mature and there is plenty of shade & sunshine for you to relax in.
